I suppose there are those who don't find that a beautiful sight (in fact, I am sure there must be), or this, or this. (Surely everyone thinks this is beautiful!?)

All I can say is, *I* find them beautiful.

I'm torn, because I love my new home and I really like the new town I'm living in. I think I could be very happy living there, if for some reason we had to stay here. And I'm getting more and more apprehensive about the idea of trying to start a business, especially in a field where more and more work is being sent offshore. But I do still miss Scotland. Not for the first time, I wish I could clone myself and live two different lives at once.

Actually it's very nice. And will be perfect once the tower crane goes away.

My impresssion (correct me if I'm wrong, Edinburgers) is that there is so much building going on in E'Burgh these days that the skyline is never without a crane or two.

My friend Matt, when I came to DC, told me that the state bird of the District was the crane. After a while I realised what he meant. :-) He also invited me to go out sailing with him--I later discovered that this meant wanderign around residential neighborhoods loking for garage sales. :-) A trickster, Mr Kadish, and originator of the phrase: "Tax law--the most fun you can have with your clothes on!"
