I suppose there are those who don't find that a beautiful sight (in fact, I am sure there must be), or this, or this. (Surely everyone thinks this is beautiful!?)
All I can say is, *I* find them beautiful.
I'm torn, because I love my new home and I really like the new town I'm living in. I think I could be very happy living there, if for some reason we had to stay here. And I'm getting more and more apprehensive about the idea of trying to start a business, especially in a field where more and more work is being sent offshore. But I do still miss Scotland. Not for the first time, I wish I could clone myself and live two different lives at once.

Date: 2007-05-23 08:42 pm (UTC)My friend Matt, when I came to DC, told me that the state bird of the District was the crane. After a while I realised what he meant. :-) He also invited me to go out sailing with him--I later discovered that this meant wanderign around residential neighborhoods loking for garage sales. :-) A trickster, Mr Kadish, and originator of the phrase: "Tax law--the most fun you can have with your clothes on!"
