AAA Trash (our regualr trash company) will be coming on Friday to take away the old couch! Many thanks to john_arundel for helping me carry it out to the kerb (and to gr_c17, who supervised and carried the cushions :-). AAA only want $50 to remove it, which is less than the hauling quotes I got and less than the transfer station wanted for my just dropping off.
