Ah! Temptation get thee behind me!



It might make a nice holiday for some of my friends who are a little closer (including those who might be tempted to set up a stall... ;-)

Dear Friends,

Have you made plans for your summer holidays yet? Raasay House would like to invite you to the first ever Raasay House Summer Fete in July 2006.

We have a huge programme of events planned for a great weekend full of fun, adventure and something for everyone.

The weekend runs from the afternoon of Friday 7th to the Monday morning, but you are welcome to come anytime over the weekend. We also still have some spaces on our multi-activity, specialist and unaccompanied child courses in the weeks before and after the Fete so you could extend your weekend. Of course you are welcome to stay longer and just chill out!

Friday night we have some exciting evening activities for the children, while adults can take some ‘adult’ time relaxing in the café and lounges. (However if adults would like to participate in activities this can be arranged!!)

Saturday we have a wide range of market stalls exhibiting arts, crafts, produce and games from Raasay and Skye.

We have a wide range of fun activities for adults and children, from archery, crating, traverse walls and trampolines to speed boat lessons and donut rides.

There will be sailing boat races on the Sound, face painting, bouncy castle, and plenty of delicious food and drink.

In the evening we have a ceilidh, tickets can be reserved with your booking, which includes a traditional Scottish supper after all the revelry and dancing. For those children not interested in dancing, we can arrange evening activities for them.

Sunday morning enjoy Raasay House’s famous leisurely brunch while the children are entertained by our staff. In the afternoon everyone can join in on the activities that we will have on which will include kayaking, canoeing, sailing, coasteering and abseiling.

Sunday evening feel free to relax in the café or lounges, or join in with World Cup Final celebrations.

We have designed a weekend package cost, but as always we can be quite flexible with our eating and board options. If there is an option you would like to explore that we have not covered, please feel free to contact us for a quote.

The weekend package is inclusive of Dinner, Bed and Breakfast, from Friday night to Monday mid-morning, activities (including transport, equipment and tuition), on Friday evening and on Sunday.

Entrance into the Dance is not included, but tickets can be purchased when booking. Dance tickets cover the evening buffet.

*We can organise pick ups from the Raasay Ferry, however it is necessary to pre-arrange this.
