February Gaming Day
Feb. 4th, 2005 08:46 amJust as a reminder, a week Sunday (the 13th) ended up being the date
that most people were able to make. So grab your favourite dice and come
over!
When: Sunday 13 February 2004, late morning (11ish) until ?
Where: 3312 Highland Lane, Belowstairs (directions available on request)
What: gaming of all sorts (board-, miniature-, card-). Foosball
available; subbuteo on request (it takes a little set-up). Lunch and
soft drinks provided; bring some snacks or beverages to share if you wish.
My apologies to those for whom this was *not* a good day; hopefully we
can find a better day next month.

Date: 2005-02-05 06:01 am (UTC):-) And don't we both wish it was working out differently? :-) I need a word with the scheduling gods about various things, including (a) the last week, (b) Valentine's Day and our two-month anniversary both falling on a Monday, and (c) our one-month anniversary being when she's away in California.
On the other hand, if I'm lucky, I get to spend the morning and afternoon of the 13th gaming, the evening having a quiet romantic dinner somewhere where there won't be crowds (since the crowds will all be waiting for the next day), and the satisfaction of a few surprises for Dr. B. on the 14th. :-)

Date: 2005-02-05 07:07 am (UTC)Hmmm. I may have to make sure I get to the office bright and early that day--which in itself would be a surprise, I suppose--so as not to miss any fireworks. (On at least one of the rare occasions when she arrived at work and found I was already at my desk, her reaction was "You haven't been here all night, have you?")
As for the scheduling gods, you could be doing a lot worse: the flu might have hit 48 hours earlier. Or back when you were establishing First Contact.

Yes, that is true. Parts of the last week have felt like hell, but of course that's only because the week before was absolute heaven. I'm really incredibly, mind-blowingly fortunate in having met such a wonderful person and found such a strong shared connectio so quickly; the other stuff, however annoying (or for her, in the case of the flu, absolutely beastly) just serves to accentuate that.
