sad and disappointing

The Anglican Church of Canada has decided against offering blessing ceremonies to same-sex couples. from the BBC

Of all the other members of the Anglican Communion that I would have hoped would be sensible about this, I'm disappointed that the Canada church has chosen, at least for the moment, to remain mired in discrimination. I also find it striking that the clergy and the laity could vote in favour of a motion and be overturned by the bishops. Doesn't seem to me to be a very good system.

Hmmm. Life seems like a huge ongoing whirl all the time right now, so I'm very pleased with myself if I can remember where I am or what I'm supposed to be doing, let alone what just happend five minutes ago.
