new bird!

I have ascertained that the unidentified (by me) birds who have been visiting the feeding area recently are dark-eyed juncos!

Yep, this is definitely bird-time of day. Half a dozen sparrows of two kinds and a woodpecker!

EDIT: Plus cardinals, a dozen robins in my driveway, some morning doves, and a flock of starlings in the Persian Doctor's front yard.

part of why I'm sleepy

I awoke early this morning (before the cats!) having had a fascinating dream. I won't go into the whole story now, but it revolved around a person, about which something niggled me the whole time I was dreaming, and which I figured out just as I was waking up. I remembered it (and much of the dream) for a while after waking, and MADE myself get up out of bed and write it down, as I thought it would make a neat plot device for a mystery novel. I still think it would, but I'm still pretty sleepy.

OTOH, I did do three loads of laundry last night and this morning, so I got something material accomplished too. :-)
