I am so sick of Dreamhost. I just lost an email I had worked on for over an hour. And now I've had to close down all my browser windows and relogin twice just to collect mail. I keep getting "server busy" errors. I don't think there's a week gone by int he last few months when something hasn't been broken.

When I get back from vacation, I'm getting a new provider.

Now it's no letting me open any of the mail in my webmail box.

Of course,t his would all be less frustrating if I hadn't somehow gotten a cold over the weekend whihc, think it was just allergies, I tried to treat with antihistamines. It was not. So now I have a sore throat, congestion *and* sleepyness and dizziness from the antihistamines. I'd go home, but I don't know that driving a car would be a great idea just now. :-(

recovery, meals, and trip

Feeling much better; thanks for all the good wishes! I came home, napped, drank lots of tea, napped some more, played Carcasonne with Chris and Mel, and partook of a very tasty dinner (crabmeat baked in green peppers on a bed of mango and red pepper). Delicious!

Speaking of dinners, not as fancy as a Mel meal, but I did make one I was rather pleased with last night--sauteed zucchini (courgette?) and yellow squash (marrow?), tatties & neeps (mashed potatoes and turnips), and corned beef brisket. Simple but tasty.
