Game Day February
Feb. 14th, 2005 11:23 amA quick entry on another succesful and enjoyable Game Day.
Participants included Rev. Karl, Peter (john_arundel), Melissa (shy_kat), Jason (beckon), and the LJ-less Bryan and Nora. We started out with a competitive railroad game that someone will have to remind me the name of, since my attention was focussed on the tooth and nail battle for 4th place with a certain highly competitive person. We had lunch then moved upstairs (better ventilation for the cat-allergic) and played several rounds of Apples to Apples, one match of Pass the Bomb, and a game of Puerto Rico. The stragglers (Jason, Mel, Nora, and me) got some Indian food and chatted for a while before calling it a night. Am I forgetting anything?
It was great to meet Karl, who I only knew through LJ previously; I certain hope to game much more with him in the future! I enjoyed introducing NB to some of my friends and to a few games; I'm really looking forward to gaming more with her--she takes no prisoners. :-) And,a s always, it's wonderful to see friends--I'm really fortunate to have so many good ones!
March is looking a bit full; I'm thinking maybe the last weekend will be the only one that will work for me for hosting, and it is also Easter weekend and the weekend of the US-Mexico World Cup qualifier at Mexico City (which I am tempted to go to but will not be--just once I want to see what Azteca Stadium is like, filled with 100,000 screaming Mexican fans and a few thousand from the EEUU).
