oh, why do I do that?

I left work early, so that instead of twiddling my thumbs doing nothing there, I could do something I need to do here at home.

I left an hour early (which I will need to make up). It took me 90+ minutes to get home, instead of the 40-60 it usually takes.

So I effectively *lost* 30-50 minutes, of which I spent an inordinate amount watching other drivers zoom up to the far end of the lane I was in and shoehorn themselves in front of everyone else patiently waiting.

And, of course, I'll have to work an extra hour later in the week.

Huzzah.

I hate DC traffic.

Well, one thing I can say for exercise, it does have some ability to remove stress. Did my second walk/run session tonight. I have another at the end of the week with a walk in between, then next week it's walk/run every time. Then in February it ramps up to 10 minute runs and four goes a week. I trust my guru to get me there in due course.

Had a shower after and I feel *good*. Making dinner (lamb chop, roasted carrots & parsnips from Trader Joes, rice); when I got home, I snacked on a mixture of olives, artichokes, beans, and red peppers--Whole Foods is expensive, but they have yummy stuff!
