Thanks to [livejournal.com profile] sapphorlando for pointing out this list in the Telegraph of Bulwer-Lytton-worthy sentences. The best part? They're all from Dan Brown books...

I love reading Dan Brown just for his sentence structure. It makes me feel good about my own writing! *chuckle*

Oh, ugh! I also went to the article on "50 Inaccuracies" -- that was pretty funny. Okay, many of the criticisms were piddly things, but some were real zingers, especially considering that the author claims that "[a]ll rituals, science, artwork, and monuments in this novel are real" (Lost Symbol) and "[a]ll descriptions of artwork, architecture, documents, and secret rituals in this novel are accurate." The history stuff is the worst, and how hard could it have been to check when the Swiss Guard was formed or to discover that the Priory of Sion was a hoax?

Oh, and the first item is the best -- communion was borrowed by Christianity...from the Aztecs! Bwah-hah-hah-hah!
