finally!
It's on the market!
And there have been at least a few nibbles right away...
I can't remember when it was last so clean. 1961, probably.

ETA: It's my childhood home, but I have no strong feeling of sadness to see it pass out of my life. The good times, the memorable moments that were filled with joy and wonder pretty much all took place in summers in New England. There are some memories buried deep that still carry some happiness and wonder, but so much of the recent history of that house is as a place where my parents grew old and sick and became less than themselves, and before that of a place so filled with anger and bitterness that it keeps me from recalling any joy.

Seriously, I love that house. I wish I were in a position to buy something like it.

But the hardwood floors, nice (they can be a bit.. slick in places, they've been walked on so long). And the fireplace, a good deal.
I wills till be surprised if someone doesn't buy it and knock it down, or leave just enough to count as a "remodel" vice rebuild for zonign and permit purposes.
