props for the prince!

Aftrer being denied the opportunity to serve with his troop of the Blues and Royals in Iraq, Prince Harry has been quietly serving in Afghanistan

Piccies! With the Gurkhas, no less!

COGS is ticked off that the story leaked, evaluating whether they will have to cut his deployment short.

All that I've heard throughout this ongoing story suggests that HRH has all the right instincts--a desire to see active duty service, having been trained for exactly that, plus a consciousness that his actions have repercussions for others, that he can't just do what he likes. Both, IMO, highly admirable.

If he's on station with Gurkhas they should have no worries. The Gurkhas would not be able to live with themselves if they lost a Royal.

Apparently the Gurkhas know who it was who leaked the secret, and have been firmly told that they are NOT to go and "have a word" with him.

If I were the leak, I'd be looking for the first flight to Baghdad... it's safer!

You might appreciate a somewhat earlier picture or two in a different war. Here's his grandmother.

I, for one, have always been impressed that Her Majesty could tear down a deuce and a half. Thanks for the pics.
