roleplaying game?

My friend Peter ([livejournal.com profile] john_arundel, a very creative fellow who some of you know, is thinking of running a roleplaying game. It would not meet too frequently, just because it's difficult to fit a recurring event onto the schedule of many people (at least around here) very often. He and I have been talking about this for a little while and, out of the games we're both familiar with, he picked Call of Cthulhu as one that might produce maximum entertainment in concentrated doses, mostly of the "sit about and roleplay" or "solving mysteries and riddles" sort, but with occasional tactical action.

Interested?

Too bad I'm not in the area. I love CoC. Of course, you end up needing lots of new characters cuz they always /die/.. but..

Hey, have you guys taken a look at Delta Green? If not, you should. Same basic premises, but you take on lesser servants so as not to get all your PCs killed on a regular basis.

I'm up for CoC. It would depend on where the game is held and how child-friendly the place is.

I'd be up for it as well, as long as it wasn't Sunday or Wednesday nights. And as for kid-friendly, that might well be arranged. Peter and his wife, Glenda, have a 5-year-old son and a 2.5-year-old daughter who possess a lovely basement play area. Plus, their two cousins (5 and 3) live just three doors down. I'll leave it to Peter to make the arrangements, but it sounds like something should be possible. Especially if we get Glenda involved.
