I thought people stopped being afraid of dihydrogen monoxide at about the same age they stopped being upset if you said you saw them masticating. Then again, maybe my impressions are spoiled by my long-term habit of avoiding stupid people.
It always makes me roll my eyes when somebody goes to great lengths to avoid sugar because "sugar is poison," but still uses 100 percent pure maple syrup (naturally occurring sugar), eats hot dogs (yep, fructose or whatever in there), etc. etc. etc.
