Rabbie

Are folks still interested in a Burns Night dinner? It would have to be *very* early (the 14th or 15th), since not only am I going to be gone the actual night (the 25th) and the weekend following, but my reenacting group has just announced they'll be having their annual dinner the weekend before. My apologies to the folks ([livejournal.com profile] sidhne, [livejournal.com profile] redactrice, [livejournal.com profile] magaidhbhan, and [livejournal.com profile] selki) who were interested if this makes it impractical (or seems too far off from the actual date to be "right"; I figure it's just dinner with whisky and poetry--what need to be on a particular day?)

In sad Scottish gourmand news, I discovered the last time I was in Old Town that Scotland Yard is gone, due to be replaced with an American "Southern Country" restaurant. Searchign the Web, all I've been able to find is that it closed its doors last summer. :-(

An advertisment from the local "historical" game club. Can you spot all the errors? There are almost more errors than nouns.
