wow! *shivers*

It's cool enough that I need to put on *clothes*! My feet are *cold*! I am so happy! :-)

More later on my weekend so far. I've been up for an hour and a half, mostly reading LJ, and I need breakfast and to do some reading and writing for homework before I can enjoy having to decide whether to lie in the hammock and read or watch the piles of soccer matches I have saved up from the weekend. (As Nursie would say, obviously the answer is both, but which one first?) :-)

But this is so lovely being COLD! :-)

yay!

Finished up the commentary ( about 1,400 words, in the end) on the monograph we read last week, with plenty of time to enjoy the greenish light filtering throught he trees onto my deck. :-)

nice nap but...

I ended up sleeping in the hammock for about two and a half hours. But I woke up, as I went to sleep, very achy. I don't know what has happened, but this feels like a flu without the respiratory symptoms. All my muscles are aching, from the arms all the way down the back to the legs. Not responding to Advil or Tylenol. Only a slight respite from the hot soak after I got out. I'm going to go to sleep early and hope that I can nuke whatever it is with lots of rest.

Finally broke down and made the chili--very extemporaneous and we'll see what it tastes like. Onion, garlic, lean ground beef, tomato sauce, black beans (whihc aren't really black), kidney beans, and chili powder, simmering as I type.
