latest thread craziness



Corporate IT has now put this up on their main email services page. It was on the front page of our company intranet LAST THURSDAY (shows how many people do't ever read that, including me...)

A Message from Email Services about Mass Email Sent Today, August 19, 2004
If you receive an email with the subject line, Centreville High School Digital Sign Board, please do not reply to all, but delete this email. This is not a virus, however, response to this email encourages future, unnecessary email into the corporate system.


And yet people are still sending "take me off this list" messages and "there is no list" messages.

I want it considered when I'm getting my performance review next yearthat I did *not* respond to this message...

They should really consider that yes. I follow latest tech news some, and also the news on what stupid things people do in IT firms. Like give away their passwords for a cheap pen on a fair as was reported by The Register. I lubs The Register.

Awwww! We get those on campus as well. It got so bad once that these two users started a fight back and forth with namecalling. I'm not sure how it ended but thank god it did. After 40 messages you just want to shoot someone.
