rest of the weekend...

My apologies to those I had hoped to be doing things with this weekend. After the rather regrettable events of Friday night, I spent most of Saturday sleeping and rehydrating, then doing some emergency weeding so that the people coming to C & M's party Saturday night would be able to actually get from the driveway to the house. Then, since it wasn't a party I would really have fit into :-), I crept downstairs and watched DC United get pounded in Dallas, while I lay on the couch without moving too much and quietly inhaled a half gallon of milk and some toast (all that seemed really palatable).

I'd already promised Sunday to my reenacting group; they're going up to Canada next weekend and, while I can't go, they desparately needed more blank ammunition produced. So my buddy Bryan brought our ammo chest down, john_arundelcame over, and we cut and rolled and filled about 130+ blank cartridges. (Footnote: the hangover seems to be gone, but the sinus infection I was "enjoying" last week, which I really wasn't noticing Saturday, is back again...)

M&T, I'm very sorry I wasn't able to help with the moving; let me chip in to defray the cost of the truck, at least. P, I'm sorry I wasn't able to make it to the party; next time, I hope!
