What with all the spring fever I see going around, this was apt.

My house mates are having a nice, romantic minivacation in the mountains this weekend. Me, I'm going to spend half my weekend cooking food for drunken louts and the rest of it doing laundry and cleaning my kitchen and bathroom. Ah, what it is to be a gay (in the traditional sense) divorcé! ;-)

Thanks, and I'd take you up on that just for the opportunity to meet you guys, if it were not for the need to do laundry and cleaning.

I actually had a friend coming over for gaming on Sunday originally, but I had to cancel that (second week in a row, to my regret) because the cleaning *has* to get done.

And I discovered while trying to find financial figures for my attorney that the need to excavate and triage my "pile of mail, notes, printouts, and other papers" on the desk is more serious even than I realized. Bills and bank statements don't go into it (well, one bill had gotten in there in disguise, which was a nasty surprise), so it's not a crisis, but there is time-sensitive stuff that I *have* to do *now*. If I hadn't already used up my only outstanding day of leave last month, I'd be taking it now to deal with this stuff.
