Founded on 29, June 1951, SAC is one of the backbone enterprises in the AVIC (Aviation Industries of China), Corporationâ… . In the past half century, ever since its foundation, SAC is in the forefront of the manufacture, design and development of aerospace vehicles, including the first China-made jet fighter aircraft F-5, the first China-made jet trainer aircraft FT-1, the first China-made supersonic jet fighter aircraft F-6, the first China-made ground-to-air guided missile Red Flag No.1, the first China-made double Mach number jet fighter aircraft F-7, and the first hi-altitude and hi-speed fighter aircraft F-8.
