evening

john_arundel watching "Hamish MacBeth" and "Mile High" and having a few beers. I walked out as far as the driveway to collect my basket-hilt backsword and my 1750s coat and waistcoat from his car, and I didn't explode or anything, so I think I should be OK to go to work tomorrow.
It's a beautifully cold night, clear and brisk, with the smell of snow and woodsmoke in the air. I could see some stars (and a passing airplane). Classic.
