woo hoo! almost time to leave!
I got the last booking reply I was looking for. I'll be staying at the charming looking Mo Dhachaidh ("Our Home") Guest House in Kyleakin on Thursday night.
Just to repeat (for fun and as a precaution for anyone who might need to get a hold of me in an emergency)
Sunday, Monday: McLay's Guest House, Glasgow
Tuesday: Coruisk House, Elgol
Wednesday: Raasay House, Raasay
Thursday: Mo Dhachaidh Guest House, Kyleakin
Friday: Glasgow Airport Travelodge, Glasgow
Saturday: back here in my own bed
Looking forward to museums, a castle, mountains, seals, whales, good music, good food and drink, the ever-exciting experience of driving in rural Scotland.
I got extra food and litter in for the cats. I printed out all the confirmations of hotels *and* directions to them (no more Knockderry fiasco,
poliscidiva!), rental car booking, boat engagements, ferry timetables. I have my AA atlas, my brand new compass, my waterbottles, and my good hiking boots. In the morning I have to go out and photocopy my passport and a few other things, for safety's sake, and then empty my wallet of all those things I won't need for a week that it would be a bother to lose. Plus I need still to finish up some laundry, pack, and ... go to the airport! :-) (Blessings on
redactrice and
shy_kat for dropping me at the airport; I have the best housemates ever!)
Now no one has to listen to me blather on about this (until I come back and post about how much fun it was :-)
