DC United playoff game--come watch!

DC United are playing this evening in NJ, but we have a second playoff match next Saturday night as well, as part of the home-and-away aggregate series. Come see us whomp the NJ Metrostars and head to the conference final and a chance at our first MLS Cup since 1999! It will probably also be DC's last home game before baseball returns to RFK!

Seats with the Screaming Eagles supporters Club in their all-standing, all-singing bouncy section sure to get you on TV are $25, complete with friendly local guide and song sheet so you can sing along. We also have a tailgate (organized by your truly) before the game for only $8, with unlimited beer, burgers (beef and Boca), and soda/water.

Come see America's *real* championship football team! :-)

You are certainly welcome to carpool with me and Chris (Melissa is not much of a soccer fan, alas). The only snag is that I run the tailgates (at least this season--not next year!), so I need to get there around 4.30 (which means leaving hime between 3.30 and 4), even thought the game doesn't start until 7. But I'll be bringing the keg, so if nothing else you can eat, drink, and meet people for several hours! :-)

If that doesn't appeal, you can always Metro if you don't care for navigating DC's confusign streets. The Stadium/Armory stop on the blue/orange line lets off right around the corner from the stadium; I can tell you how to find the tailgate from there soa s to meet us up and have a nosh.
