Someone, several blocks away, is chanting (literally) monotonously in what some indistinguishable language.

It is rather annoying.

Forgot to mention (I think) that the other day I saw the first catbird of the season. And a downy woodpecker! My downstairs neighbours have had cardinals and chickadees and nuthatches (that I've seen) at their feeder, and we have the usual blue jays, robins, mourning doves, starlings, sparrows, and crows about.

things to do this weekend:

get extra sleep
put the A/C units in
paint more WW2 figures
sort out mass (mess?) of papers in the bedroom
get more screen for backdoor
get cat food
get out and walk or cycle
clean up desks
sort out back room and transfer painting from DR table
continue research on grad schools
find tax forms for 2010

A lot of stuff for a weekend when I have "nothing planned". :-)

So far, I have done one of the above. At least it was the most important one! :-) Well, I did go for a walk after dinner, but only for about half an hour.

ETA: Got a few more things done. Well, two to be precise . :-)
