Had a ride for the first time in over a week. I really do miss this when I can't do it. Just the usual route. Had a little trouble with the hills, but I finally aced the turn-around on Crestview, which for some reson I usually flub. Something about the combination of turning and getting the speed right (not too fast to turn but not so slow I lose stability). Anyway, fun. And I acheived a new high speed coming back down Highland--22.6 mph!
Practicing keeping an eye out at corners is a good thing; I came up to one at speed, and there was no one coming, so I went around it at a fairly steep angle, only to find a car coming towards me (some distance away, not right on top of me). So I didn't panic, just slowed down and eased a bit over to the side. :-)
OK, quick shower, then off to work.
