I am a bad, bad man

I was just about to turn my coffee mill on to make coffee to go with breakfast.

I looked across the kitchen, and there was Nicoo, having breakfast himself.

As I continued watching, I gently depressed the button on the mill, causing it to spring into action with a loud whirring noise.

Nicholas departed VERY swiftly.

I chuckled quietly to myself.

I am SO going to burn in hell...

NICKY: Oh, Schadenfreude, huh? What's that, some kinda Nazi word?

GARY COLEMAN: Yup! It's German for "happiness at the misfortune of others!"

NICKY: "Happiness at the misfortune of others." That is German!

talking with leaders of faith

Someone on a list I read posted a link to transcripts and recordings of a series of conversations about God that a BBC Radio 4 chap had with three religious leaders (Archbishop Rowan Williams, Professor Tariq Ramadan, and Chief Rabbi Sir Jonathan Sacks) earlier in the autumn.

As always, I find their answers to the really tough questions are (to me) fundamentally unsatisfying and not credible, but it's still interesting to hear what they have to say.
