How American Are You?

I think I can live with that. I think this country is a pretty great place, but it sure needs lots of work. Hmmm, interesting that I have a UK flag icon and a Scotland flag icon but this is the only US flag icon I have (I do have the great seal, but that's not the same thing...)

We lost power during the afternoon storm (I was just glad that none of the oak trees came down...) so we had dinner at the Silver Diner, played Carcassonne by candlelight, and listened to firewirks instead of seeing them. The power is back now, thank goodness.

couch going spare

Anyone want a couch? It's an old sleeper sofa that has seen better days (there is a moderate amount of patching of the arms with duct tape :-) but is still in one piece. You might even still be able to use it for sleeping, but that might be somewhat Procrustean torture. Mostly it would be good for sticking in the basement with a lot of extra cushions to watch TV from.

Free to anyone who can pick it up and take it away with them; must be gone by the 17th.
