and a few random pieces of good news
I got an A in the analytical methods course (apprently the prof didn't even notice I turned the paper in late) and a note saying "hope to see you in future courses".

poliscidiva was not as excited by this as I was when I showed it to her, but I imagine vikingcat might be inviegled to play it at some point, even though it doesn't have either ships or jet aircraft in it, and john_arundel may be willing to give it a try too, as long as I let him play the Romans. :-)
I got several compliments from coworkers on the face. Our two government contacts didn't even notice, apparently. :-)
And we got an email from the really nice place in Oban that I had goven up hope on getting us a room at (the owners had been off ont heir own vacation). We will be staying for two days in the Rose Room at Barcaldine House Hotel.poliscidiva is *very* pleased. :-)
