(no subject)

A guy on a local gaming list I read posted this:

My current employer (located near Tyson's Corner) is looking to fill an entry level Web Developer position. HTML and graphics knowledge are required, php is a plus. Email me off list and I can give more information and where to send a resume. Include a phone # and I'll give a quick call.

If anyone wants his contact info, let me know....

and a historic cat story

Early ?domestic? cat found

Interesting that cats aren't native to Cyprus, as I associate cats with Cyprus

Typical cat behavior: caption to photo on this page reads "Typical Cypriot view: cats. They all ran to Leon when he took the camera out. But apparently they were more interested in Leon than in the camera, because they didn't come to Mirjam when she took over. And Leon is allergic to cats."

Hmmm. I need some cat icons...

awful tragedy

A woman who killed her two sons and injured a third said she refused anti-psychotic medication after her arrest -- until her oldest son failed to rise from the dead on his ninth birthday as she'd expected.

How horribbly, horribly sad.

"I didn't want to kill my kids at all. I felt I like I had no choice," she said in the transcript. "Because God told me to do that, and I was taught you obey God."

Well, there's your first problem right there. Shades of Abraham...

Condi, don't strain our credulity!

And while concerns that terrorists might use airplanes as weapons could have existed in the intelligence community before the attacks, "To the best of my knowledge this kind of analysis ... actually was never briefed to us," [National Security Advisor Condolezza] Rice said.

from CNN coverage of Rice's testimony

How can anyone in the US government's national security and intelligence service claim not to have known about Operation Bojinka? How could someone not have included the possible use of airplanes as missiles in briefings on possible al Qaida attacks in the United States?
